B.O.N.D.S

It's been a while since my last post, more than a year, but something urged me to write this post. Something that is very much important to me as it expresses my heart and soul . It was leaving the prestigious college, MCKK that made me realize the importance of writing this post, to express to the world, something that I cherish the most, after going through the life of a Malay collegian.... It is the bond that was created along the way. The bond was very much special, rare and could not easily found elsewhere..

Learning chemistry taught me a thing or two about bonds (better use it
now or never), it is that everything consist of matter, and that matter contains particles that are attracted to each other through the formation of bonds. It is the bonds that kept the particles attach to each other to form a chemical compound. the stronger the bond, the stronger the compound will be ( Thank you to Puan Les for the Chemistry lessons) The theories of the existence of bonds was proven through experiments after experiments by many well known scientist throughout the world like Sir Isaac Newton...The differences between these chemical bonds and the bonds that i am writing about, is that it could not be proven through any experiments and this kind of bond could not be broken down.... it is the bond between human beings , a strong bond of friendship , it is the thing that holds us together and unites us into becoming a very strong compound, an unbreakable compound.

Innocent and young boys all over the country, with different backgrounds and different attitude, gathered at the prestigious school to be educated and to live the same life together. Going through the joy and laughter together, and also, going through the hardness of life together. We learn to live together, we understood the roles we have in this community and most importantly we understood each other. Through all of those, we became a huge family with the bonds keeping us together, tighter than ever. Very childish we were when we all first met, we cried to go back to our real family; little did we know that another family awaits us. Surely we all cried but more importantly we help each other to loose the sadness, to feel comfortable again, and to feel as if we were with our family, a new family, a family of of friends. We were taught that UNITY IS STRENGTH and unite we did. We united in everything we do and we did it together. And with the strength we had, we went searching for glory.

Being good and innocent did not last long as being naughty and nice was our thing. By the second year, we already did so many wrong things and we did it together. Learning from our mistakes together . Pulling a huge metal steel ( roller ) and cutting out grass as a punishment was a memory we all share, it is for us remember and to laugh. We explored every inch of life we could together from playing JAMBU and BETIK (though some didn't claim their doings until now) to leading the community and the college. We did those entire things due to the bond we have, connecting us to one another. We were KINGS for a year, a great year, the last year, and we did what any kings would do, we defended our territory and conquered the world. From having the best cheering ever for our teams and even created the longest one ( a cheeringfor a cricket match ) to organizing

events for our people, and leading the way for everything, we did justice to ourselves and for the people, as for the bonds are meant for us to help each other and develop each other. Living in a family with even by three brothers could be miserable for some people, with the annoying fights over the most simple of things (thank god it is not my family ) is
very much disturbing, but with more than a hundred people being gathered , not having any blood ties, we learn to adapt. We adapt to the hundreds of behaviors and attitude, we tolerated and accepted our
differences and we became a very great family. Though sometimes, there
were disturbance to the compound, mischievous acts done (virus) which is unavoidable in any community, we successfully develop our own defense mechanism to the point that we develop immunity to the virus (essence of Biology, thanks to Mr. Khaidzir) and solved each and every single problems peacefully without harming the compound. It is through the bonds we created amongst us, the bond of friendship through the understanding we have amongst us and the respect for the bond that we have, THE BOND THAT WILL LAST FOREVER.

The huge number of friends of the same age was not the only bonds that I created, I also created a smaller yet nothing less of another kind of bond, I created a bond with intellectual and bright friends who also became a family of mine. These people help me to become who I am now. They taught me to be mature, wise and confident. To be able to think both sides of the coin (idioms, thanks to sir. Syed) and to be able to speak in front of hundreds of people, which I never imagined that I would be able to do. I owe them so much for what I have become as i hope i have done and will do the same for those after me. This bond is very important to me as without it, i am nobody. They coached me to become a man, a wise and mature man. The bond I share with these people through debating is very much rare and shall i cherish for the rest of my life.

The challenges going through the life of a malay collegian and also a debater had granted me brothers, not of blood, but of bond. The bonds of these two brothers of mine are very much strong and I believe nothing can brake that bond that we have created. We went through so many challenges together, sometimes we fail and sometimes we succeed but in any cases, we were still together in any ups and downs. We ever cried together, sharing the same sadness that we have, holding each others hands and continue with the journey that life and fate has put upon us. Though coming from different background and attitude, we started by having the same interest, and through the hardship of life that we had to go through together, we develop the bonds of a brother, so strong that any challenges that lies ahead of us will neve break our bond.

They were always there for me, in sickness or in health. They are none other than my comrades in debating, they are the ones who are beside me in anything I do, and i'm sure they will always will be, maybe not in person but always in my heart. They mean so much to me,the experience I have in the college would meant nothing if they were not there to be experiencing it with me. Nothing can ever replace this kind of friendship, the friendship that i truly cherish the most. THEY ARE MY BROTHERS, NOT OF BLOOD , BUT OF BOND.
